What is Bloom?
Over one billion people do not have any books in their language! Efforts to promote literacy founder because there's nothing to read. Bloom was created so that anyone can create books, and members of local language communities all around the world are using Bloom to "grow a library" of books in their languages. Bloom was designed to be so simple that if someone can type, they can create books with Bloom. Because SIL International is committed to building the capacity of local language communities, we provide Bloom at no cost to the user and offer many free resources on how to use it.
What is Bloom Enterprise?
Bloom Enterprise is a suite of tools to help organizations leverage Bloom for book production and publishing. Bloom Enterprise includes:
Your organization's branding in all of your books
An online bookshelf featuring your organization and books
An analytics dashboard telling you how and where your books are being used
Advanced Bloom Editor capabilities, such as an overlay tool (for comic-style books), in-book quizzes, and interactive HTML5 widgets
Team Collections, which allow distributed teams of people to collaborate on shared collections of books
Bloom Features
There is only one Bloom Editor, but we offer special license codes that unlock some additional features. These Enterprise features are especially useful to international book production projects.
We are pleased to offer many of the Enterprise features freely to local communities creating books with their own resources. Features that require our staff to do custom work are limited to Enterprise subscribers.
